Reviews & Scores
The 2019 Meursault Poruzot 1er Cru has a fresh bouquet with white chocolate and walnut scents infusing the citrus fruit. Just a touch of alcohol comes through here. The palate is slightly viscous on the entry, with impressive weight and a seductive rounded texture, though it initially misses a little tension and race on the finish. That seems to evolve with time, and I raise my score. - VM

Pale lemon with the lightest green reflection. The nose is steely and strict. I am enjoying the lime infused intensity of this, backed by a very pure white fruit. An excellent crispness at the finish, without denying the intensity. DIAM 30 closure. - JM

Cool and decidedly restrained aromas only grudgingly reveal the notes of green fruit, essence of spiced pear and plenty of citrus elements. The powerful yet quite sleek larger-scaled flavors are tautly muscular before culminating in a strikingly persistence finish that also has a slightly chewy quality to it. Note that this is very firmly structured and a wine that is clearly built to repay long-term keeping. In a word, excellent. - BH
